A charming inkstand in ormolu, bronze and white depicting a dog chained to a tree stump supporting an urn. the inkwell decorated with repoussé guilloché interlacing pattern. The tree stump engraved 'Weeks's Museum Tichborne St'
Dimensions 15.2 by 8.9 by 16.5 cm
Thomas Weeks had a "Museum" or curiosity shop, at 3/4 Tichborne Street which started in 1803 and closed at his death in 1833.
